Start the installation early in the morning whean your attic is coolest.
Keep plenty of water on hand and drink consistently; even if not thirsty. Attic temperatures can quickly reach up to 30 to 40 degrees hotter than the outside temperature and being hydrated is vital to your health when working in an attic space.
If your attic space it not very bright, bring an additional lighting source to help you see in the darker areas.
Always be aware of the attic floor joists you walk on. Some floor joists may “roll” when walked on if not properly secured.
For Do-It-Yourself-ers, spread your install out over the course of a couple of days taking advantage of the morning hours only to work on the install.
For professional contractors, work in groups of two or three having one person responsible for cutting the product and handing it to another person responsible for stapling it. Shared responsibilities like this help reduce installation time and reduce the chance of injury from moving around in the attic space performing multiple tasks.
